February 13, 2009 - SECTIONAL TOURNAMENT
The Cavalier Boys Bowling Team advanced to District competition on Friday by qualifying second in a field of 14 teams at Tiki Lanes in Lancaster in OHSAA sectional action. The boys score of 3952 placed them in the top ten in the overall sectional qualifying of 56 teams in the Central District. The Cavs were led in scoring by senioe Andrew Buchanan, sophomores Lance Gilbert and Cody Oates who each averaged over 200 in the tournament. District competition takes place at HP Lanes in Columbus on Sat. Feb. 28th at 10am. Twenty teams from the Central District will bowl seeking a top three finish in order to advance to the State Tournament in March.

Cavalier boys defeat Logan on the road Wed. evening by 210 pins. The Cavaliers clinched the first South Central Ohio Conference championship with the victory over the Chiefs. Cavs were led in scoring by sophomore Cody Oates with a 411 series to finish the regular season with a (13-3) conference record and (18-3) overall. Oates finished regular season play averaging over 200 per game.
