City of Chillicothe Cavalier Victory Parade
Mayor Joseph Sulzer announced today that the City of Chillicothe will host a Chillicothe Cavalier Victory Parade in honor of our 2008 Boys Division II State Champion Cavaliers. The parade will be held on Tuesday, March 25th at 5pm in downtown Chillicothe. The event will feature appearances by the Coach Gary Kellough, players, coaching staff and cheerleaders of the State Champion Cavaliers along with the CHS Band. Coach Kellough will present the District, Regional and State Championship trophies back to the community. Beginning on the corner of Yoctangee and Water Streets, the parade will travel east on Water St. to Paint St. and then south on Paint Street. The parade will end at the Ross County Courthouse with a celebration and recognition ceremony. Mayor Sulzer is encouraging all Ross County residents to wear blue and white, bring banners and signs and come out to the parade to show support of this incredible milestone victory; a victory for our entire community. State Tournament Merchandise
The Chillicothe Boys Basketball Club is handling the selling of merchandise from the State Basketball Tournament. The contact numbers are Linda Knights at 772.4516 and Rob Hitchens at 773.1727.

State Tournament History
On March 13, 2008 the Cavs made their first appearance at the Boys Basketball State Tournament since their consecutive trips in 1929 and 1930. They are also the first SEOAL Team in 56 years to head to State.

March 15, 2008 - STATE FINAL
Chillicothe 70 Toledo Libbey 69 overtime
Congratulations to the Chillicothe Cavaliers Basketball Program on their 2008 DII Boys Basketball State Title! This is the Cavs first trip to the Big Show in 70 years. The Cavs came back from a 16 point deficit in the 2nd half to tie it up and send it to overtime. With the Cavs down by one and five seconds left in extra time, Hitchens hit Chambers wide open under the basket to lay it in for the win. Tune in next year to watch Caleb Knights and Seth Dawes return and lead the Cavs to another successful season!

For the second time in school history the Cavaliers are in the Regional Finals. The Cavs started took the lead early and never looked back in their 47 point routing of Vinton County.
