Chillicothe took 4th place out of the 6 teams with a 373
Ryan Muncy missed the Districts by two stokes shooting a 79, he needed to beat 77. Mike Dennis 101, John Lods 92, Cody McNeely 101, Dillion Markley 109. Logan 2nd (323), Mareitta 1st (322) both advance to District. Jackson's Morgan Dobbins shot a 70 ( he is a freshman ) 1st place medalist. He will go on without his team to Districts. Logan's Mitch Harden shot a 75 2nd place medalist. Hillsboro's Brett Rhoades will advance to District with a 77.

Chillicothe finished in third place at the Division I Sectional Monday at Valley View in Lancaster. Oscar Barquet was the tournament medalist with a score of 73. He will advance to the District Tournament on October 11 at Apple Valley. The top two teams Marietta at 317 and Hillsboro at 331 will also advance to the District Tournament. Other Chillicothe scores were Nathan Martin 84, Ryan Muncy 88, Bill Vier 92 and Brandon Smith 93.

St Xavier 323, Shawnee 325, Centerville 326, Xenia 329, Catholic Central 333, Northwestern 334, Moeller 339, Hillsboro 340, Ben Logan 345, Chillicothe 352, Tipp City 359, Wellington 360, Circleville 362, Tecumseh 381, Kenton Ridge 382, Fairborn 383, North 383, Cedarville 384, Greenon 392, Northeastern 393, Southeastern 454. Medalist: Brendon Decenso 70 (St Xavier). Chillicothe struggled as a team on a very difficult Reid Park North Course in Springfield Saturday. Oscar Barquet still managed a fourth overall with his five over par round of 77. Brandon Smith also turned in exceptional round of 84. Other Individual Scores: Bill Vier 95, Nathan Martin 96, and Mike Dennis 98. Although this was a comparitively high team score, the difficulty of the course showed as Chillicothe still managed to finish in the top half of the field with their second highest team score of the year.

September 7, 2005 - OCC Cardinal
Westerville Central 312, Grove City 313, Dublin Scioto 325, Olentangy 325, Chillicothe 327, Pickerington Central 399. Leading Chillicothe was Tournament Medalist Oscar Barquet with an even par round of 72. Ryan Muncy followed with a 2 over par round of 74 which was good enough for a tie for second individually. Unfortunately the team could only muster a fifth place finish with a Team score of 327, two strokes short of a tie for third. "While we were disappointed with the Team outcome, we were quite pleased with the individual efforts of Oscar and Ryan", said coach Mike Dennis. "This Team has a lot of potential, we just need to start putting four good rounds together on the same day. Then we will be able to compete for wins in these types of tournaments." The scoring was rounded out with Nathan Martin shooting 90, Brandon Smith with a 91, and Bill Vier with a 94.

Runners Up: 76 Burdett (Unioto), Depugh (Unioto), Prater (Southeastern). Individual scores: Ryan Muncy 82, Nathan Martin 83, Brabdon Smith 83, Bill Vier 85, Taylor Hatmacher 90, and Vince Tropea 93.

Chillicothe looks to improve on late round stamina in the upcoming events as the team combined for 13 strokes over par on the last three holes.

JV: Chillicothe 211 Logan Elm 197. Brandon Smith was low with a 44 followed by Mike Dennis 46, Vince Tropea 54, and Dillon Markley 67.

Chillicothe finished 3rd of 6 teams with a score of 317. Oscar Barquet was low man for the Cavs with a 74 which tied with three others for Runner Up Medalist. In addition, Ryan Muncy 78, Nathan Martin 79, Brandon Smith 86, and Mike Dennis 116. Medalist was Hammerschmidt from Westerville Central (WCHS) with a score of 72. WCHS finished first on the day with a team score of 305.

August 15, 2005 - Teays Valley Invitational
Chillicothe placed 7th out of 17 teams with a score of 360. New Albany was the top team with 323. Oscar Barquet finished low for the Cavaliers with an 82 while Bradley Wilson of Jackson was the medalist with 73. CHS looks to improve on fundamentals and shot selection in preparation for the OCC opener on August 17th.
