Chillicothe Cheerleaders Go All-American!
Head Cheerleading Coach, Sherri Hoselton, recently received exciting news for 8 of her Varsity Cheerleaders. They have been selected to cheer for the McDonald's All-American High School East-West games. For the second time in its 34-year history, the girls and boys games will be played at Value City Arena on Wednesday, March 31st. The ESPN live telecast will feature 48 of the top American high school players. Future Buckeyes Jared Sallinger and DeShaun Thomas have been selected to play for the East team.
McDonald's first All American team in 1977 featured hall of famer Earvin "Magic" Johnson. Since then the game has been the debut for nearly every big-name pro and college basketball player including Michael Jordan, Shaquille O'Neal, LeBron James and Kobe Bryant. Several former McDonald All-Americans are slated to be on hand to watch the action. All proceeds from the games will go the the Ronald McDonald House Charities and their Ronald McDonald House programs.
The Chillicothe Cheerleaders are anxiously awaiting the arrival of their official All-American uniforms and are extremely excited to be chosen to cheer for such a prestigious game.
