Chillicothe 7 Minford 1
The Lady Cavs played the best game of the season. They stayed calm, used their talent, possessed the ball 80% of the game and took every shot they could. Kasey Crow got us going with goal #1. Baylee Stark stepped up and gave us goal#2. Caroline Holdren did her usual straight dribble through the field for #3 and before the half Lindsey Schobelock took a pass from Hannah Compton to give us #4. Minford got their first goal before us but we never let up once we got the momentum. In the second half Lindsey Schobelock gave a great cross and Brooke Haynes nailed one. Then Brooke returned the favor with a cross that Abby McGinnis sent one to the back of the net, now 6-1. I tried to have the girls lay off but freshman Corinne Patino had the desire to go right through the defense and sink #7 in for a great win. And thanks to a strong defense and very versatile bench we sink a great win. Proud of you girls!

September 10, 2009

October 16, 2008 - SECTIONAL FINAL
Chillicothe 1 Hillboro 2
It was a bad and sad night for the girls. Hillsboro was fast and nothing but long ball. We got caught up in watching to see what they would do next. But as usual the Lady Cavs showed up in the second half. Just a little too late. They score in the 9th minute of the first half. Then Caroline Hodren tied the game with a great PK, score 1-1. Four minutes before half, a breakdown cost us goal #2. Second half was played completely in their half we just couldn't find the net. It was a great game, great season and a great TEAM to work with. Thank you all girls, I love you. Coach Allen

October 14, 2008 - SECTIONAL TOURNAMENT
Chillicothe 6 Athens 0

The Lady Cavs played the best game of their lives. It was game #1 of the Sectional Tournament. We out shot and out played Athens. The girls played absolutely fantastic. Everything they worked on all season came together. Brittany Steinbrook didn't have to work too hard at all, only 2 saves. Goal #1 was a solo by Caroline Holdren, next solo was by Brooke Haynes, and last solo by Jordyn Baker. Then Caroline assisted the next 2 goals by Alli Kaut and then Destiny Depugh. Goal #6 was a great feed from Jordan Matthews to Caroline Holdren. Great game Ladies. Coach Allen. Final 6-0.

October 9, 2008 - SEOAL DAY OF CHAMPIONS
Chillicothe 1 Marietta 2

September 30, 2008
Chillicothe 2 Logan 0
Lady Cavs had their senior night and last home game and our seniors, Brittany, Venessa, Destiny and Taylor, did alot of shining. They all put a nice end to their careers. We had goal #1 at the 19 minute mark when Baylee Stark hit a great ball to Caroline Holdren for the score. Then after 37 minutes of hard running around ball Torri Skowroneck finally found Maddy Valentine in the center for a good shot to the back of the net. Nice job team, and seniors we are sure going to miss you. Lets get set for the BIG show now, Torney time. Coach Allen

September 27, 2008
Chillicothe 8 Alexander 0
The team showed their true colors today. We played Alexander and they are a new team. We kept control of the ball, played possesion and made them work. We had goals by: Caroline Holdren had 2, Destiny DePugh had 1, Brooke Haynes had 1, Becca Schutte had 1 and a little help from an Alexander defender gave her #2, Brittany Steinbrook had 1, and Alli Kaut had #8. Every one had a great day. Good job, Caoch Allen

September 25, 2008
Chillicothe 1 Jackson 1
Chillicothe was in full control the whole game. We scored in the 16th minute with a great pass from Destiny DePugh to Brooke Haynes for our goal. Second hald we came out tired but keep up the great attitude and intensity and held them for 65 minutes. A small break and they scored. No big deal. We ended up 1-1 tie and no harm to us in the standing. All the girls did a great job. Hold your heads high, Coach Allen

September 18, 2008
Chillicothe 4 Minford 0
Started off with us played a great came of possession and control, but unfortunately no net. Once we got in our comfort zone things changed. At the 35th minutes Brooke Haynes had an unassisted goal, then 2 minutes later it was like an instant replay and she scored goal #2. Second half we were 18 minutes in when Caroline Holdren stepped in to head in goal #3. Suddenly we were again in instant replay land and Caroline gave us unassisted goal #4 in under 3 minutes (minute 71). With the team floating on air we did quite a bit of changes in lineup. All players contributed greatly. Great Job girls. Coach Allen

September 16, 2008
Chillicothe 1 Marietta 0
Just when we needed it we played the most intense game of the season. Startiing goalie Brittany Steinbrook was sidelines with a bicep injury, but freshman Brooke Haynes stepped up and played the game of her life. On paper it said she only had 3 saves but she took complete charge of the field. Her defense also did a fabulous job of shutting down the Marietta offense. Every single player on our team, from started to bench stepped up their play but more than 50%. We dominated with skill and possession while most of their game was in the air. After a very long 77 minutes of play Becca Schutte tried to place one in, it fell short but Destiny DePugh was right there to place it in the net. Then we held tight for 3 minutes to hand them their first league loss. Final: Cavs 1, Marietta 0. Great game girls. Coach Allen

September 13, 2008
Chillicothe 2 Xenia 2
The whole first half was ours. Possesions, good passes, winning the 50/50 balls. The only thing we could not do was shoot. We only had 4 shots on goal in that half. It took us 28 minutes into the second half before finally Brooke Haynes was able to get a pass from Caroline Holdren and hit the side net for goal #1. Nine minutes later another pass from Jordan Matthews to Haynes again for #2. Xenia also stepped up play in the second half by moving their sweeper in up front and she scored twice for them. So we ended with a 2-2 tie. I'll take that. Good Job Girls. Coach Allen

September 11, 2008
Chillicothe 1 Zanesville 0
The BEST game the Lady Cavs have played all season. The Entire first half belonged to us. Complete possession and domination. They only passed the half mark 3 times. We placed 18 shot on goal in that half but could not find the net. Second half due to exhaustion it took fifteen minutes for the girls to remember why we were there. Cav soccer came alive and with 5 minutes left to play Kasey Crow hit a terrific cross and Brooke Haynes fired away. We held on tight and were Victorous. Vanessa Montgomery had full control of the defense and Destiny Depugh was the front line commander. Bench was fabulous. Great game by the entire time, and a little thanks to the Firebird Cheer Squad. Coach Allen

September 6, 2008
Chillicothe 2 Warren 0
After a long bus ride, the girls played probably their best game all season. With only 4 minutes into the game Brooke Haynes was fouled in the box and got a PK. She placed it in the top left hand corner, sailing past the goalie. A few minutes later a cross came and Destiny DePugh was right where she needed to be and scored our 2nd and last goal. Every player did an outstanding job of keeping control of the game. Passes were great, through balls were there, just a great job by everyone. Brittany Steinbrook had only 1 save and we took 13 shots on goal. We are the Section Leaders right now with a 3-0 record, 5-3 overall. Great job girls. Coach Allen

September 4, 2008
Chillicothe 3 Unioto 2
The girls played a very physical and and well controlled game. Even though Unioto scored first they never affected our play. Our first goal came off a cross from Kasey Crow to a beautiful header from Carolin Holdren. Goal #2 was a fabulous long ball from Allie Weber. And goal #3 was a great shot from Kasey Crow. Great game for everyone. Brittany Steinbrook had 7 saves and we took 33 shots on goal.

September 2, 2008
Chillicothe 2 Athens 0
20 minutes in we had a great cross from Torri Skowronek to Caroline Holdren to give us a 1-0 lead. Only 3 minutes later Becca Schutte sent a great ball to Brooke Haynes who found the goal. One last time Haynes got a nother goal at the 30:00 minute mark of the second half. The girls played a very tough game and came out the Victors. Great job, girls. Coach Allen

August 30, 2008
Chillicothe 0 Gahanna 4
Not the kind of game I wanted but that is life. We had some communication breakdowns on the defensive side after the first 20 minutes of good hard play. They score twice on us in the first half. After half time we just had some trouble playing as a Team. Brooke Haynes took the goal position and had 8 saves. Then Caroline Holdren stepped up in goal and had 4 saves. Let's focus on Athens. Coach Allen

August 28, 2008
Chillicothe 5 Logan 1
The Team played a fabulous game against Logan. We won 5-1. The entire Team played hard, aggressive and skilled. Logan scored first at the 13th minute but at minute 20 Maddy Valentine put a clean shot in the back of the net, off a corner kick from Brooke Haynes. Destiny DePugh scored unassisted at minute 35. We were up 2-1 at the half. Four minutes into the second half Brooke Haynes sent a cross and Caroline Holdren headed it into the back of the net. Next came defender Lindsay Schobelock with a long run and great shot that deflected off a defender and put up goal 4 for us. Last was a beautiful goal line pass from Venessa Montgomery to the 6 where Alli Kaut slammed in goal #5. Brittany Steinbrook had 6 great saves. Great job girls. Coach Allen

August 26, 2008
Chillicothe 4 Jackson 1
Terrific game. We played Chillicothe Soccer. This is the Team I talked about pre-season. It all came together tonight. TEAM play was the name of the game. Pass, communication, swithes, INTENSITY. The bench was crucial in the second half, every one of them did a fabulous job of covering the field. Brooke Haynes had a hat trick with 2 of the goals unassisted. Her second goal was across from Carolin Holdren. Allie Weber had goal #4 which was a beautiful shot and then a deflection off a defender. Final score was 4-1. Way to go girls. Coach Allen

August 23, 2008
Chillicothe 1 Tri Valley 2
The Lady Cavs put up a terrific fight. They controlled the ball most of the time and just had a great game. Tri Valley had their first score after only 6 minutes of play. but our girls fought right back and scored at minute 15. Allie Weber had a great cross and Caroline Holdren knock it hard in the back of the net. unfortunately wit only 5 minutes to go Tri was able to get one more in. We had 3 or 4 great opportuities but just missed the net by inches. Brittany Steinbrook had 12 outstanding saves.

August 19, 2008
Chillicothe 1 Circleville 2
Girls looked very good in the first half, had a nice goal at minute 22. A great cross from Torri Skrowonek to Destiny DePugh who places it in the goal. We were up 1-0 at the half. Circleville had 15 subs to our 4, so plenty of fresh feet. At the 61st minute Keshia Conaway slipped past for a score. Then due to being a little out of shape, heat and exhaustion at minute 72 they were able to score again. Good effort by the whole team, just not enough, YET. We will be back stronger and tougher, I have lots of faith in my team. Let get Tri-Valley girls. Coach Allen

Preseason recap: Our pre-season was fabulous. Tournament in Springfield, 5 games, 5 shutouts. Scrimmage against Alexander, shut out. Super Scrimmage in annex 2 shoutouts, then we lost out last game only 1-0. In 9 games the girls scored 23 goals and only 1 scored on them.

October 16, 2007 - Sectional Semifinal
Chillicothe 0 Jackson 2
The Lady Cavs went to Jackson to play Jackson for the first round of the Sectionals. Even though our girls played a terrific game and did everything right, we just could not get the ball in the net even after 15 shots. Jackson went up 1-0 at the 28th minute of the game but our girls came back hard and tough. Unfortunately Jackson came up with another goal with only 7 minutes left in the game-final 2-0, Jackson. Thank you girls for a great season. Coach Allen.

Everything a coach wants, possesion, winning balls, good first touches, it was all there. But after 31 shots by us on goal, we came off the field after 80 minutes with not one score. The game ended 0-0. Great effort by the entire team. Thanks for a terrific game, Coach Allen

September 27, 2007
Chillicothe 3 Jackson 4
Tonight's game against Jackson was a heart breaker. The entire team gave their ALL! Jackson scored in the 17th minute. In the 19th minute Laramie Burden had a free kick that the goalie dropped and Destiny DePugh finished for a goal. With 15 minutes left in the half Laramie sent a hard, low cross and Destiny finished for a second goal. So at half it was us 2-1. In the first 5 minutes of the second half Laramie had a corner kick and Destiny finished it off once again. Britini Lynch took a knee in the groin and left the game. With 65 minutes in Jackson scored but also injured our goalie. Venessa Montgomery stepped up to take over. 3 minutes later a rattled team lost sight and goal #3 happened. With 3 minutes left a shot was taken, scored but sent my goalie to the ER. Jackson walked away with a 4-3 win. Girls you are the champions. Coach Allen

September 25, 2007
Chillicothe 2 Minford 0
With only 6 minutes into the game Brittini Lynch pulled the trigger and took a shot that left the goalie speechless. At the 24th minute Laramie Burden had a free kick that sailed over the goalie. The entire team did everything that needed to be done. Some of the girls covered positions they have never played before and did outstanding jobs. Brittany Stienbrook had 3 saves. And Taylor Good had the game of her like. Great job everyone. Coach Allen

September 22, 2007
Chillicothe 6 Northland 0
The Lady Cavs had a great game against Northland. We walked away with a 6-0 win and lots of needed self-confidence. Destiny Depugh had a hat-trick and all 3 of the goals came of terrific cross balls from Laramie Burden. Laramie, herself had a goal that came from a corner kick she too. Goal #5 came off a long shot from Caroline Holdren, it was shot from at least 25 yards away. And the last goal came from a great shot off Maddy Valentine's foot. The whole team gave a terrific effort. Proud of you girls. Coach Allen

September 18, 2007

September 15, 2007
Chillicothe 0 Xenia 3
The Lady Cavs played the best game of the season. It was a very physical game and we came out with quite a few bumps and bruises but when we put our foot down and said "No More" that's exactly what happen. After 3 goals in the first 20 minutes the entire team shut them down and they never came close to scoring again. Terrific job by everyone. Coach Allen

September 13, 2007
Chillicothe 1 Zanesville 1
The first half was ugly, we played a kickball style game and offer nothing. After our half time discussion they became their old selves, the Lady Cavaliers. Holding a very determined Lady Devils team off. A moment of indecision cost us a gaol at the 68th minute. But being the type of team we are the girls rallied and never gave up. With only 30 seconds left in the game Laramie Burden crossed to Destiny DePugh for a score. We took 27 shots on goal to their 8. And Brittany Steinbrook had only 2 saves. Nice Job girls.

September 8, 2007
Chillicothe 3 Warren 4
The Lady Cavs played the best game all season. Unfortunately early in the first half we had a hand ball in the box which resulted in a PK for Warren. They scored a nice clean shot. From then on the Lady Cavs had an exceptional game controlling the ball 90% of the time. Katrina Banyas had the best defensive game of her entire high school career,so far. Ali Weber stepped up and took 5 shots on goal, but all 5 just slightly off. We had 18 shots to their 6. Brittany Steinbrook had 4 saves. Great team work. - Coach Allen

September 6, 2007
Chillicothe 3 Unioto 2
Valentine 1 goal. Baker 1 goal. Webber 1 goal.

September 4, 2007
Chillicothe 3 Athens 1
The Lady Cavs had a fabulous win over the Athens Bulldogs, 3-1. The defense is who really won the game for us. Outstanding play by Caroline Hodren saved us several times. Tremendous work on the parts of Katrina Banyas,Peyton McDonald, Racheal Bolte and Venessa Montgomery. Our first goal came with a Depugh to Valentine combo. In the second half they tied the game with a PK. Then our girls became themselves again and twice we scored on a Weber to Lynch combo. The entire team played a fantastic game. Great job girls. - Coach Allen

August 30, 2007
Chillicothe 3 Logan 0
The Lady Cavs played an outstanding game to beat the Lady Chiefs of Logan by of score of 3-0. Goal #1 came with only 4:26 into the game. Brittni Lynch sent a beautiful pass to Laramien Burden who hammeered it into the goal. #2 came with only 12:30 into the first half. A great straight from the middle, whiz pass the goalie shot from Brittni Lynch. #3 was in the second half on a penalty kick. Scored by Laramie again. Brittany Steinbrook had 5 terrific saves and Maddy Valentine had a very strong game. Great game girls. - Coach Allen

August 28, 2007
Chillicothe 0 Jackson 1
Plenty of heat and on top of the astroturf it was almost unbearable. The girls played an outstanding game. Everything was in place great runs, passes, communication and team work. But with the turf many times our passes keep too much speed and went too far. After 71 minutes in grueling conditions a long pop up ball went to Candace Chapman of Jackson and she took it down for a high shot to the right hand corner of our goal to high for Steinbrook. We took 14 shots on goal and Steinbrook had 6 great saves. Great job girls, let's get our opener at home and start our winning streak. - Coach Allen

August 25, 2007
Chillicothe 1 Tri Valley 4
Our only goal was in the first half with 9 minutes to play Shurly Shaw sent a terrific cross to Laramie Burdan who had a great shot for the score. Our goalie,Brittany Steinbrook, had a fantastic game with 14 super saves. Good try girls. - Coach Allen

Chillicothe 2 Warren 1
The girls played Warren H.S. on their home field. They were a very tough opponent. But the girls showed what they are made of and came away with a 2-1 win. In the first half Brittni Lynch had a beautiful unassisted goal. In the second half Laramie Burden sent a perfect cross to Jenna Hornyak who blasted it into the back of the net. Brittany Steinbrook had only 1 save thanks to the hard work of her defense. Great job girls. Coach Allen.

Perry 1 goal. Steinbrook 4 saves.

September 28, 2006
Chillicothe 3 Whetstone 2
The Lady Cavs had a great Senior Night and then a great game against Whetstone. We won 3-2. In the first 5 minutes Whetstone had a quick great shot, hard and high to the right corner. That woke up the team. They went from flat feet and slow mode to How Cow. But about 8 minutes later Maddy Valentine could find a pass so she shot and goal was good. With 7 minutes remaining in the first half Jenna Hornyak had a great pass to Laramie Burden for the score. Half time 2-1, Chillicothe. About 20 minutes into the second half Jenna Hornyak had a beautiful solo goal. Now up with 2:30 minutes to go they sneak one in. Now 3-2. And holding tight we finished there. Great Job girls. Coach Allen.

September 26, 2006
Chillicothe 1 Circleville 1
The Lady Cavs gave a great effort and tied the Circleville Lady Tigers 1-1. If I am correct it is the first time in the girls history, we have never tied and always been beaten by them. I was very proud of the girls. Of course if they had done EVERYTHING they are supposed to we would have won. But great game by everyone. Our goal was scored about 2 minutes after their's with a beautiful shot in the right corner by Jenna Hornyak. Britttany Steinbrook had 4 total saves with only 10 Circleville total shots. Great job girls, let's get Whetstone on Thursday. Coach Allen

September 23, 2006
Chillicothe 1 Athens 2
The field was basically underwater and very unsafe but we played anyway. We had a hard time getting the ball to the net but 90% of the first half was played in thier half of the field, we were in control. They were able to get 2 goals in . Second half as always we came out on fire and with 9 minutes to go we had a cross from Jenna Hornyak and Jessie Campbell rushed the goal for a score. I really thought the girls would tie the game we had quite a few chances but with the field so soaked and the ball so heavy we just couldn't score. Great effort and remember girls we'll get them at tournament time. Coach Allen

September 18, 2006
Chillicothe 0 Hillsboro 4
The weather was not in our favor and neither was the game. Really I am not quite sure what went wrong. The girls gave us everything they could but we just couldn't put it together and lost 4-0. Great try girls maybe we tried to hard. Still am proud of you.

September 16, 2006
Chillicothe 0 Marietta 1
The Lady Cavs played the absolute game of the season against Marietta. The girls played the kind of soccer we have hoped for all season. Possession, commitment just great ball. We held them off until the 62 minute of the game when Allie Wallace sent a clean crisp ball into the left upper corner of our net. We lost 1-0.

September 14, 2006
Chillicothe 0 Gahanna 3
First half was the usual this is an OCC team so we can't compete. And Gahanna successfully scored 3 times. After the normal half time Coach' Allen and McGinnis fits the girls went out, played like Cavaliers and held them to 0 goals. They just need to believe in themselves and their ability. Brittany Steinbrook played the game of her life. 20 shots on her, with 5 blows way over net, and 11 saves-GREAT job Brit. The defense of Joanna Terry, Caroline Holdren, Rachel Carroll and Vanessa Montgomery was outstanding. The whole team was tremendous but Defense saved the day. Thanks girls!

September 9, 2006

Chillicothe 0 Grove City 3
In the first half we were slow, sluggish and not my team. We only gave up one goal after the 35th minute. During our halftime discussion our girls were reminded of how we played against Athens and the other 3 teams. Second half was a whole different ball game. Twice the ball went out on our end by us resulting in corner kicks, both were successful. We lost 3-0. Brittany Steinbrook had an outstanding game with 5 saves. Great comeback girls.

September 2, 2006
Chillicothe 6 Zanesville 0
Another great show by the Lady Cavaliers. We came out strong and stayed that way beating Zanesville 6-0. It had only been 38 seconds when a great ball from Maddy Valentine contacted with Katrina Banyas' head for goal #1. Goal #2 came from Jenna Hornyak. #3 from Laramie Burden and just before the half Gabby Perry gave me exactly what I asked for which was 4 goals by the half. In the second half Vanessa Montgomery gave a great shot close to the net and Brittni Lynch poked it in for # 5. Last goal came from a great cross from Laramie Burden right to the left foot of Destiny Depugh. A special thanks to Jessi Campbell and Vanessa Montgomery for stepping up in the goal and keeping them scoreless. Great work on everyone's part and great defense.

August 26, 2006
Chillicothe 3 Athens 2
It was a a great day for the Lady Cavs. With their hearts and souls they played the best they have played all season and preseason. They came out, worked hard as a TEAM and was successful in beating Athens 3-2 and they did it in the last 17 seconds of the game, shows that it's not over until it's over. First goal was a long hard shot by Jessi Campbell. Chillicothe 1 Pickerington Central 7
Long crowded bus trip, little warmup gave way for a not so good showing. They had us 5-0 in the first half. We scored off a indirect kick from Jenna Hornyak that deflected off a defender and Mary Harness was able to find the net. Girls played hard, just a tough night. We need to now focus on Sectionals. Good Job Ladies!
