Chillicothe 59th at 3pts.

50FS: Miguel Veintimilla 14th at 21.98.

On February 25th Miguel Veintimilla went to the State Championship Swim Meet in Canton,Ohio. He had qualified #20 in the 50 yd.freestyle. In the morning he swam a 22.06 which qualified him #16 to be in the B finals that night. Upon his return he swam a personal best of 21.98 which gave him the #14th place in the state. State Qualifier: Miguel Ventimilla (50FS)

On February 18th and 19th the Boys and Girls Teams attended the Central District Meet at Ohio State University and did a fantastic job. Miguel Ventimilla qualified for the State Championship meet in the 50FS with a time of 22.10. He also placed 8th in the 100BF. 200MR was 17th Eric Proehl, Cole Hatmaker, Miguel Ventimilla and Jordan Friel. Jordan Friel also placed 23rd in the 100BF and 27th in the 100FS. 200FSR was 13th Eric Preohl, Jordan Friel, Michael Braunlin and Miguel Ventimilla. The Girls also ahad a tremendous finish. 200MR was 14th Amanda Tootle, Megan Johnson, Andreya Ventimilla and Megan Proehl. Amanda Tootle placed 10th in the 100Back and 17th in the 200IM. Chillicothe 1 Tri Valley 0. The Lady Cavs travelled to Dresden to play Tri Valley in the District Tournament. We travelled 2 1/2 hours to play on their wet soggy HOME field. At the half the score was 0-0. With the wind at our back the second half we came out strong, held tight, and with 4 minutes left to play Jessi Campbell sent a great pass to Allison Hornyak who sent it flying right past the goalie's outstretched arms. October 21st, 2004 at Athens HS at 6pm
Chillicothe 2 Athens 1. Once again at halftime the lady Cavs were down 1-0. But due to courage and determination they made school history again by winning the Sectional Title with a final of 2-1. Both of the goals were scored by Ashley Allen. First came of a field wide pass from Allison Hornyak and #2 was just a straight shot from about 30 yards out. Allen 2 goals. October 19th, 2004 at Marietta HS at 6pm
Chillicothe 3 Marietta 2. This is the 3rd year we have meet them at the first game of sectionals. Both times we have finished the game at a tie and have gone into double overtime coming out with a shoot out. We have lost the past 2 years. This year's girls had had enough--no overtime, no shootouts. At halftime we were down 2-0. After a refreshing halftime talk, the ladies came back with a 3-2 WIN! First goal was a penalty kick by Allison Hornyak. #2 was a goal by Gabby Perry with an assist from Jenna Hornyak. #3 was an unassisted goal by Gabby Perry. Great Job! - Report by Pamela Allen

The Chillicothe Girls Tennis Team dominated Sectional play at New Philadelphia Wed. and Thurs. Everyone on the team qualified to go to the districts. Singles: Jessica Parker won the Sectional Singles Title. She defeated Tara Kettlewell (Dover) 6-0, 6-0. Parker defeated Lauren Blauvelt (Marietta) 6-0, 6-0. Parker defeated Beth Clark (Mt. Vernon) 6-1, 6-2. Parker defeated Freya Zorn (New Philadelphia- 2nd seed) 4-6, 6-2, 6-3. In the finals she defeated her teammate Kae Shiratsuki 7-6 (7,1) 6-2. Jessica was the no. 3 seed Kae Shiratsuki finished in second place. She defeated Anna Platania (Pickerington North) 6-4, 6-1. Shiratsuki defeated Kelli Amspaugh (Zanesville) 6-1, 6-0. Shiratsuki defeated Annie Worth (New Philadelphia- 1st seed) 6-2, 6-4. Shiratsuki defeated teammate Kristin Sinning 7-5, 6-2. In the finals she lost to Jessica Parker 7-6, 6-2. Kristin Sinning finished in fourth place. She defeated Jaclyne Landon (Watkins Memorial) 6-0, 6-1. Sinning defeated Julie Evans (New Philadelphia) 6-0, 6-0. In the finals they defeated Jessi Hilborn/ Meghan Stewart (Pickerington North) 6-4, 6-3. They were the no. 1 seed. Megan Danneker/ Andrea Mong finished in fourth place.
